The film 'Born Free' owes its title from Joy's book. Shaba Game Reserve was also the background for shooting the movie 'Sheena Queen of the Jungle'.
Hidden deep in the Shaba park is Joys camp, a stylish oasis in the arid park of Samburu. The camp is constructed on the site of Joy Adamson's tented home in the reserve.
