Similar to two people can get the job faster than one person working alone.
There are people who need the souped-up speed of a dual processor motherboard multiple core CPU. It can definitely be an amazing combination! But, all this power comes at a price - literally, since they are quite expensive. Expect to pay in the neighborhood of $450 for a medium-priced dual processor motherboard. Then you need to purchase two Processor chips! Add in RAM, a video card, various peripherals and you're well past $2000. This kind of power and cost would be wasted on the typical user. However, if you are seriously into gaming or require multiple complex applications running simultaneously, do consider a dual processor motherboard.
